How To Fix Casting In A Baseball Swing
Having baseball swing flaws is a common problem with baseball players. Hitting a baseball is a pretty difficult task and that is why practicing is so important. However, make sure you are practicing with proper technique is even more important. Whenever you do something over and over, you develop muscle memory, even if you do it incorrectly. That is how players develop common baseball swing flaws like a baseball golf swing (everything is popped up). You want to make sure you have the knowledge about what a proper swing should look and feel like. If you are continually swinging correctly, you will develop that muscle memory and hitting a baseball in a game becomes much much easier. NOTE: It is QUALITY SWINGS, not QUANTITY OF SWINGS, we are looking for. Watch the videos below on common swing flaws. Take note of what a proper swing looks like.
USING AN INSIDER BAT?
Many of these videos include the use of the Insider Bat. I highly recommend the use of this hitting trainer to help diagnose your common baseball swing flaws and help correct them. I ordered my first Insider Bat back in 2010 and was amazed at how simple it was to use. It helps diagnose common batting problems for youth baseball players and it really makes it easy for a coach to explain the problem the a player. If you want to order an Insider Bat, please order one from the MYB Online Store. It is, by far, my #1 selling item!
SWING FLAW VIDEOS

CASTING – COMMON BASEBALL HITTING PROBLEM
Watch this short video to gain a clear understanding of what it means when you are "casting." This issue causes a very long swing around the baseball instead of the short swing to the inside part of the baseball.
BARRING OUT
Barring out is a big problem that lengthens your swing and makes you come around the baseball and opens up your front shoulder. Both big problems!
DROPPING HANDS BEFORE ATTACKING INSIDE PART OF BASEBALL
Dropping the hands is a big problem that creates a long and flat swing…
COMMON BASEBALL HITTING FLAW – CUTTING UNDERNEATH THE BALL
Cutting is a problem that is not as common as the others, but it is a problem that needs to be addressed.
SCOOPING HITTING FLAW
Scooping is a problem that causes a player to get underneath the ball and creates lazy fly balls. Some people call this a baseball golf swing. Either way, it is a very common hitting flaw that needs to be fixed.
